Kuala Lampur is home to some truly fascinating attractions and activities. Here are some of the best things to enjoy if you are in Kuala Lampur.

1

Visit Bukit Bintang

Bukit Bintang is one of the most popular shopping and entertainment districts in Kuala Lampur. This is the place to visit if you wish to explore shopping malls, fascinating night markets and incredible hawker centres. You can find pretty much anything you can think of at Bukit Bintang. Widely popular with the younger crowd, Bukit Bintang also attracts travellers and adults who clamour for the fabulous nightlife. There is also an unofficial Arabic district where one can find some incredible food and drinks. If you are looking for excellent hotels in Kuala Lampur City, consider staying at the Aloft Kuala Lampur Sentral to enjoy a range of modern comforts and quick access to Bukit Bintang and other famous attractions in the city.

Escape the busy city at Orchid Garden

The Orchid Garden is a part of the Perdana Botanical Garden and is home to a marvelous selection of orchids. Located far away from the bustling city streets, the gardens present a serene atmosphere, ideal for relaxing. The garden is a great place to enjoy a lovely view of the Kuala Lampur skyline. As you explore the gardens, you may also come across some curious monkeys. The Orchid Garden is open from 8am – 6pm every day and can be entered free of charge.

3

Visit the Batu Caves

The intriguing Batu Caves are located just 20 – 30 minutes away from the city. You can easily reach the caves on the KTM Komuter. The caves are located within limestone cliffs and are filled with Hindu temples and shrines. The most prominent feature at the Batu Caves is of course, the massive golden statue located at the entrance. There are plenty of monkeys hanging about, so take good care of your belongings as you walk up the stairs.

4

Explore Chinatown – Petaling Street

The best time to visit Petaling Street is during the evening as the day times are quite dull. As evening falls, the street comes to life with a huge variety of stalls being set up. This is a bargain shopper's paradise as the stalls feature clothing, souvenirs, handbags, shoes, accessories, sporting goods and of course, incredible Chinese food.

5

Enjoy the view from the top of the Petronas Twin Towers

The Petronas Towers is the most famous land mark in Kuala Lampur. This is definitely a must-visit attraction for any traveller to the city. Until 2004, the Petronas Towers were the tallest building in the world. Today, they are the tallest win towers in the world. Visitors may go to the top of the towers to catch a breathtaking, vertigo-inducing view. One can also take a walk on the sky bridge which connects the two towers or to visit the observation deck located on the 86th floor.
