The article mentioned "Twitter Meet Ups" for people who move to a new area, so I felt that was relatable to my current situation since after I graduate this May I will most likely be moving to a new area. It was also helpful to read that you can search the hashtag of the city you are living in and seeing what the community is talking about. This could be helpful in looking for places to go out on the weekend or events that may be happening in town.

As soon as I read this, I immediately applied it to my own Twitter account. The beginning talks about polishing up your profile by redefining your bio because that is your one chance to show yourself to the millions of people who could potentially come across your profile. My bio before I did this was very basic and non defining of who I am. Once I changed it, I noticed I was getting some followers throughout the weeks, and I think it was also because I have been retweeting a lot from some of the inspirational accounts that I follow. Another piece of advice I took was to be authentic and be yourself on social media because that is where you will get respect and get the right followers. Ironically, one of my sayings a live by is to be authentic so I incorporated that into my social media.

I could apply this information to both personal and professional accounts since I looking to grow both. This will help me gain a better insight on where I stand and we stand as a program to the public and how we can grow from here. It is always good to constantly have an evaluation of yourself. Also, knowing there is a specific time that is the "best" time to tweet was amazing. I never knew that but that can easily be applied to hopefully generate more traffic towards the pages I am administering.

The final tip "Tap into the fear of missing out" is challenging because sometimes you want to give your audience everything but it might only be necessary to give them a overview so they feel a part of your experience. All three of these concepts I will apply to my personal account with creating better engagement with my followers. If I want to inspire people, I need to be more specific and critical in the tweets I am tweeting out. It will help me not only be more efficient but also give me a better sense of my audience and who is actually interested.
