Top 5 Cleaning Companies in Melbourne

I don't know about you, but I often use cleaning services for various parts of the house. I am a working mom of a toddler, which means that my home is always a mess and I am too tired to do anything about it. I'm sure many new parents feel the same way and have used cleaning companies at some point. Nowadays there are so many companies which offer the same services, that it's hard to make a choice. I researched companies in Melbourne to help other people with their choices. Here's what I found:

1

Paul's Cleaning Melbourne

Paul's Cleaning Melbourne

This is one of the most popular companies all around the Melbourne CBD area and a few other closely located suburbs, at least according to the Internet. They come up for practically every query you can think of. Leaving the jokes aside, this company provides a really big range of services, their equipment is up-to-date and well maintained, the phone operators are always polite and helpful, it's practically the perfect experience. I've tried their services once or twice, and I was overall pleased with the results. Some other things you may take into account:

Advantages:

There is a phone operator available 24/7, they provide lots of discounts and special deals, which are also mentioned on their website, they are open for last-minute jobs, and they can clean your property using only nature friendly products, if you request it. They also have many channels you can use to contact them – phone, chat, social profiles, etc.

Disadvantages:

There aren't many bad things I could say about Paul's Cleaning Melbourne I guess. One thing would be that their prices are not mentioned on the website and you have to call them in order to find out how much does something cost. But I guess this is how most companies operate, so it's not so bad.

2

Maid to Clean

Maid to Clean

Another quite commonly mentioned brand around Melbourne. The nice word pun where they replaced “made” with “maid” makes people smile from the first moment they notice the name. Their website is very well organised and you can easily book the service you need in just a minute. Then you are contacted by a polite employee, who will confirm the details and give you the final price. Here are some other details:

Advantages:

They openly mention their rates on the website, the rates are affordable, they have an option to pay online through their website, which is a great convenience, they are environmentally friendly and they provide a nice option to get their services as a gift card for someone else. They also provide some cool discounts from their main services right now.

Disadvantages:

I guess one of the disadvantages of choosing this company is that they don't cover absolutely every suburb in Melbourne, just the central area and Brunswick, Hawthorn, Clayton and Brighton. The array of services they offer is also limited compared to other companies on the market. They provide only regular cleaning, deep cleaning and one off cleaning options. Also, it's hard to find their phone number, you have to look all through their website to get it.

Meticulous Cleaning Services

Meticulous Cleaning Services

Another quite popular choice for a cleaning contractor among the Melbourne residents. I have never tried them, but I've heard they are pretty good with domestic cleaning and housekeeping jobs, and that they specialise in mostly this type of services, and if you want something more detailed, like leather or mattress cleaning, you will have to look somewhere else. Some more information:

Advantages:

They have a nice detailed price list mentioned on their website on every service page. They also provide a wide coverage for their services, because they cover not only the central part of Melbourne, but also some further located suburbs.

Disadvantages:

There are no discounts or special offers mentioned anywhere, which is very discouraging for some potential clients. They also have no social presence whatsoever. You know how today you can find almost every company in Facebook or Twitter and follow them there? Well, these guys only have a Twitter account which hasn't been updated for 3 years. It's not a deal breaker, but it's still shady. Their website is also a little difficult to navigate in order to find what you're looking for, but this is only my personal opinion.

4

Bizzi Beez

Bizzi Beez

This cleverly misspelled brand is quite new on the market, so I don't have an actual opinion about it. If anyone else knows something about them, please comment and share your experience. I can only make assumptions from what I see in their website and online reviews:

Advantages:

They seem to have a 24/7 customer support phone line, which is very comfortable and convenient, because you get responses instantly. They also have a somewhat regular social presence in major social networks, which gets them closer to their clients. I also noticed that they have a blog on their website, which is also a nice way to help out clients.

Disadvantages:

Their website is a real mess, it's very difficult to navigate through it and find anything. Also, no information about prices and rules of the service. In general, the information about the services they provide is quite limited. The customer opinions I was able to see online are contradictory, but I guess this is something common.

Tydii

Tydii

This is the last company in this list, but it's definitely not the last one on the market. I've tried their services once, and they were not so bad, but again, they are not specialised in some more precise jobs, like appliance and ventilation cleaning, or cleaning furniture.

Advantages.

There are many actually – their well organised and fully informational website for instance. They provide lots of details about their services, what they include and how they are done. They also have a nice price calculator, which can tell you how much you will spend without having to call them. There are also options to pay online and buy gift vouchers for other people.

Disadvantages:

Except for the narrow array of services, I can't actually think of anything else. Maybe the complete lack of social presence anywhere. If you can think of something, please share!
