Nasi Campur is basically the most popular dish in Langkawi. The name Nasi Campur translates to mixed rice and the best thing about this dish is that it has almost everything in it. You find seafood, chicken kebabs, beef curry, and assorted veggies along with a crispy prawn cracker neatly served on to a plate. In this dish, it is the accompaniments that add flavour with classic local spices. One thing interesting about having Nasi in Langkawi is that the dish will not taste the same everywhere. Even the food that goes in such as the type of fish, the beef curry recipe and the way it is presented will differ according to the types of Langkawi restaurants that you go to.

The usual spices include turmeric, chili powder, and the Malaysian spice mix rempah. Lemon grass and ginger are also part of the flavour. This is a dish you simply cannot miss if you are in Langkawi or any part of Malaysia for that matter. You can grab it from the roadside hawker or from a plush restaurant in the city during lunch or dinnertime.
