Willie Mays was born in Atlanta and was known for his outstanding diving catches in center field. He was considered one of the fastest and was on the top hits leader board with over 3,700 hits. He was known to always save the game no matter if it was a winning hit or a diving play offensive and defensively he was a star.
Jackie Robinson was the first African American to play in the major leagues he was w very talented player and stole many bases. He was the main focus of his time.
Babe Ruth was one of the greatest baseball players of all time and holds the record for most home runs in one game, 7, In this game he had eight at bats and the game went into the thirteenth inning. Babe Ruth used a 32 inch and 34 ounce bat which extremely heavy. People knew that he was the strongest baseball player alive so him having that heavy of a bat was anyone else holding a pencil.
Mickey mantle was one of the best catchers in the game and help the record for most people thrown out stealing base. He also had over 3,00 hits
Derek just recently retired and had over 3,00 hits as well. He had 14 WS rings and held the record for most hits in one game 12!
Ty cobb had over 3,500 hits and had a record for most stolen bases in the 18 hundreds. He was friendly and knew almost every baseball player at his time.
Hank Aaron was the best outfielder of his time and used the outfield wall as an advantage. He would always make diving plays and robbed home runs. He was a hero.
He is currently still playing baseabll and is one of the best. He is the leader in strikeouts and led his team to the playoffs 4 years in a row.
Nolan Ryan threw over 1,000 strikeouts and led his team to 7 straight playoff wins. He was the starting pitcher for 7 teams and held the world record for most home runs as a pitcher, 11.
Joe DiMaggio was also one of the greatest catchers also. He had the most collisions at home plate, 36 in one season. He is also the hits leader for a catcher.
