BaiBoard

This is an iPad whiteboard type app where you create "meets." It is has some of the same capabilities as Notability and looks similar to Educreations. When you create a meet, you give others a code, and they can join the meet and write/ work on the same exact 'board' in real time.

ISTE Student Standards 1 & 2, but could be used for all 4
Baiboard could be used in all levels and subjects, depending on the students, It leans more towards middle school and high school than elementary. Remember that students can affect everything posted in the meet they are a part of- delete, edit, draw over and "mess up" stuff.

Create: Foldify

Explanation:an app that lets you draw, create and fold 3D figures and object. It would be a great addition to any research project that involves the study of a person--the student could create a 3D image of the person rather than printing off a photo from the internet.

Create: Sketchbook Express

Explanation- a free app that allows you draw and create images and uses layers. Students can also import photos for use in their designs.
Subject Area: English (found poetry), any subject that requires a student to create a poster, Art
Grade Level: 3-12

Create: 360

Explanation-a student can take a picture of a place and then send it to another person who can then swivel their iPad/iphone around and look at a 360 of a room/area
Subject Area: English (pass out different 360 pictures and have students describe what they see. Other students could then read the descriptions and connect them to the correct picture. Students then discuss whether their writing communicate well or not), Science (in particular biology--teachers have students go out an take a 360 of a ecosystem ? other students identify the ecosystem), architecture (student find types of architecture), etc

Isometric Drawing Tool

Not an "app", but a web based tool for creating 2-D or 3D dynamic drawings on isometric dot paper.

Collaborate: Dropbox

Use a shared folder to create a central space for students and/or teachers to collaborate on files. All folders in Dropbox are private by default, but you can make any normal folder a shared folder. When you share a folder, its contents will only be available to Dropbox users you specifically invite.

Create & Collaborate: Evernote

with the use of Evernote Shared Notebooks, students can share and edit notebooks from their accounts.They can work on their part of a project and add it to a shared notebook when they are ready.

Educreations is a presentation tool that is great for letting students show what they know. It gives students the opportunity to record themselves explaining something for the teacher and other students to see, and they can work together on the presentations.

Students can create visual representations of geometric features, graph lines, show transformations.

Trello

Trello

Trello is an app where you create boards. The boards could be a project you are working on or an event you are planning. When you create a board, it automatically create three lists: To Do, Doing and Done, but you can change them to whatever you need- like the people working on a project/event or different parts of a project/event. In each list you can add cards, with bits of information related to your list or board. Each card can have pictures, checklists, members and the like. The cards can be rearranged and transferred from one list to the other or from one board to the other. Boards can be shared and worked on together and Trello plays along with other apps like Evernote and Google Drive.
