Top Places to Visit at the Entrance – Central Coasts Popular Attraction

The Entrance is a vibrant tourist resorts that has many lures; home to foreshore parklands, beautiful surf beaches and huge recreational areas skirting the lake there's never a dull moment here.

Pelican feeding is by far the most popular attraction at The Entrance; taking place at 3.30 pm on the dot; the experience of watching the birds being hand fed is quite a treat. Make sure to take along the cameras.

The Boardwalk

The Boardwalk

The Boardwalk is ideal for soaking up the warm sunshine and spending time outdoors. Follow the path as it meanders around plenty of interesting locations. You should start the walk at The Waterfront where a very popular mall exists; there alone loads of entertainment awaits for families with many cafes and eateries ready to kill hunger pangs while a fun water fountain is set up for amusing the little ones. If you are at the Waterfront over school holidays enjoy the vibrant carnival ambiance all around. Well the Boardwalk starting from here follows the channel towards the east to pass Memorial Park and ends at the Surf Lifesaving Club.

The Bike Path

If you are considering some form of invigorating activity there is no better treat than a peddle along the Bike Path which starting at the entrance to Skate Park falls along the scenic environs of Tuggerah Lake. It is an activity recommended for the whole family as the path is well serviced along the way with restaurants, picnic spots and playgrounds.

The Entrance Farmers Market

In order to get into that holiday mode and hob nob with the locals a browse of the local Farmers Market is highly recommended. Taking place in the city centre just minutes from Oaks Waterfront Resort; in case you are considering convenient serviced apartment accommodation at The Waterfront the market offers a wide range of fresh produce as well as traditional arts and crafts. In fact there's a lovely arts and crafts market to explore just outside the visitor centre. The Farmers Market takes place on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month.

Wyrrabalong National Park

Wyrrabalong National Park

Located between Bateau Bay and Forresters Beach this beautiful parks name translates to 'headland looking over the sea'. It is a phrase coined by the indigenous Darkinjung people that once occupied the area. The park is a breath of fresh air and not too far from The Entrance accommodation apartments; which quite conveniently lets you move to your own schedule. On the south side of the park are sandstone and shale coastal cliffs while the plateau is dotted with lush woodlands. Enjoy the wild flora and fauna as well as the exotic mangrove forests.

Crackneck Lookout

Crackneck Lookout

Located at an altitude of 274 metres past the south entrance of Reserve Drive, this marvellous lookout point is quite rewarding. Overlooking Bateau Bay the views are breath-taking and rejuvenating for mind body and soul.
