Translating to 'Green Route' this is a fairly new cycling route that runs across Quebec from the east to the west. The route is 4,000kms long and consist of rural roads and rights of way. You will love cycling along this terrain interspersed with soothing stretches along the St Lawrence River and stunning vistas of the Laurentides Mountains.
This route was set up by Adventure Cycling Association; it spans across Mobile, Alabama and Owen Sound in Ontario. This remarkable stretch is in memory of slaves that tried to cross the border in hope of salvation. The route consists of 5 sections that cover a distance of 3,310kms. It is quite an interesting bicycle route that is clearly marked pointing out various places of interest, such as the African American history museum and previous slave markets.
This route stretches a total of 1,300kms from Puerto Montt in central Chile across Caleta Yunge in the south and Villa O'Higgins in north Patanogia. The 1,200km trail takes you across sandy shores while throwing quite a challenge in the form of natural hindrances around the Hai Van Pass which is the chronological division of south and North Vietnam.
