Best Beaches to Visit in Seychelles – Sun Sand and Surf Awaits

Glorious days of pure sunlight, swimming and chilling on the beach are yours to savour in Seychelles. The beautiful islands are simply paradise with beaches ranging from the isolated to vibrant.

1

Anse Source d'Argent – La Digue

If chilling and wading in warm waters is your cup of tea; there is nothing better than some time on Anse Source d'Argent Beach. Home to the finest white sands, crystal clear water, coral gardens and boulder formations this beach is pure bliss. It is not ideal for swimming though and is regarded as a place to relax, catch some sun and simply do nothing.

2

Petit Anse – La Digue

Head over to the eastern coast of La Digue home to grand Anse Beach and follow the northern path to Petit Anse Beach. This is an almost isolated little beach inviting you to bring along a picnic for some solitary relaxation. The crescent shaped bit of beach is located about 15 minutes from Grand Anse and is a pleasant walk. Framed by granite boulders the place is more or less isolated for that castaway feel.

3

Anse Georgette – Praslin

This beach is part of a beautiful cove around the western edge of Praslin Island. Shaded by palm trees the shell strewn beach is well hidden and hard to find but well worth the trek.

4

Anse Lazio – Praslin

Anse Lazio is famed to be the most idyllic beach in the country. And indeed it is. Framed by gorgeous granite boulders, swaying palms and takamaka trees the beach offers shallow waters and safe swimming; ideal for families. The beach framed by exotic foliage adds a sense of adventure to the surroundings while swimming and snorkelling are top activities there.

5

Bird Island

This is a nature loves paradise; Bird Island is certainly one for the brochures. The gorgeous white sand beach is dotted with drift wood and framed by a teeming reef. This makes Bird Island a marvellous spot for snorkelling. The clear waters mean you get to observe a variety of marine life including dolphins and shark. Hawks Bill turtles favour the beach for laying eggs and provide loads of fascinating encounters for nature lovers.

6

Beau Vallon Mahe

This a 3km stretch of glistening white sand that is quite popular on Mahe. Locals love the safe and clean beach for swimming which is surprisingly not crowded. Although the place is a hive for water sports such as parasailing, snorkelling, diving, sailing and treating the foodie in you to delicious pizza from the eateries close by.

7

Anse Barbarons – Mahe

The beautiful Barbarons Bay is home to a stunning beach of golden sand, swaying palms and takamaka trees. Home to the AVANI Seychelles Barbarons Resort & Spa; this beach holds in its backdrop majestic Mount Barbarons and is well known for its scenic views of Ile Aux Bachez. The above mentioned hotel is the only one located here giving a private and isolated feel to this gorgeous beach. Accommodation at this beach is ideal if you are seeking a resort in Seychelles for nothing but relaxing.
