An internationally recognized, award winning beach, Corniche Beach was honoured with the Blue Flag status, the international eco label that certifies the water is safe and clean for sea bathing. The clear sea, palm trees and view of the nearby Lulu Island make Corniche Beach a beautiful escape from the city. The spotless beach is divided into three sections by gates: Gate 1 is for singles, Gate 2 is for families and Gate 3 for families and kids. Sections 2 and 3 are covered by a fence to provide privacy for families. Showers, restrooms, changing room and a spacious free parking area are available as well as facilities like wide umbrellas and sun loungers.
The biggest natural island in the UAE, Sir Bani Yas was once the largest wildlife reserve in Arabia and is home to thousands of animals which include oryx and gazelle, and numerous trees and plants. It is also the location of one of the best beaches in Abu Dhabi. The beaches here are in pristine condition thanks to the strict sustainability measures carried out to ensure no harm to the ecosystem of the island. The island is so popular with tourists, that the many Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Al Yamm Villa Resort are placed close to the beach front to cater to the growing number of visitors who come to bask in the beauty of the island. There are also facilities for visitors to try kayaking, and snorkeling around the seaside.
Stretching over 400 meters of unspoiled beachfront and crystal clear turquoise waters is Saadiyat Beach. The first public beach opened on Saadiyat Island, sun worshippers can find everything from changing rooms, lockers and sun umbrellas to lounge chairs available for use, and ample free parking. Some of the best resorts in Abu Dhabi are located nearby so there's plenty of options for foodies. The entire beach is bordered by sand dunes that are protected from development by a 60m buffer limit. Saadiyat Beach is also a nesting ground for sea turtles between the months of April and July, however, they only come ashore to lay eggs at night.
One of the most sought-after beaches by locals, the beautiful beach is famous for its clear waters, spectacular view of the Hudariyat Bridge and amazing sunsets. A certified Blue Flag beach, it's extremely popular among swimmers and water sport enthusiasts for activities like paddling and kayaking. Entry to the beach is free for all and there are changing rooms, washrooms, showers and even a kid's playground located right next to the beach. Al Bateen Beach has an area of beach separated exclusively for women, which can accommodate over a thousand people. However, swimming in this area is prohibited in the evening due to security reasons.
