One Mile Beach is renowned as the most natural beach that can be found in Port Stephens. There are many facilities offered for beach lovers to party and enjoy here such as barbeque facilities, a kiosk, shower areas and toilets. Professional swimmers as well as beginners can take great delight swimming in the ocean at One Mile Beach because it offers fantastic conditions for them to enjoy a good time in the waters.

This is one of the patrolled beaches in Port Stephens due to safety reasons. The beach is ideal for many water sport activities such as swimming, windsurfing, fishing, snorkelling and non-water activities like having a barbeque or a picnic with your family members. With many an accommodation Port Stephens has to offer within easy reach of this beach such as Oaks Pacific Blue Resort, most families find it easy to access the shore for holidaying. The Fingal Bay Beach offers lovely walks to Barry Park and the lighthouse with brilliant landscaping at the park and stunning views of the surrounding area. Be cautious over the tide times before crossing over to go to the lighthouse. This is a popular hangout place for families with kids where all facilities are provided to engage in family activities and features such facilities as a barbeque area, shop, showers, playground, toilets and a cycle path.

The beach is accessible only through the Shoal Bay and is a perfect place to sit and relax while taking in the mesmerising beauty of Port Stephens. It is also an excellent location for whale watching with tours arranged for you to get up close with the largest sea mammals.

This is yet another beach patrolled due to safety reasons with a stunning backdrop in full view of the Stockton Sand dunes. The 32 km stretch of beach is stationed with lifeguards due to the danger anticipated with rough sea areas. The café at the beach provides all your food and drink needs. It is an ideal spot for swimming, windsurfing and going on adventures exploring rock pools. Stockton is known as the biggest mobile sand mass that can be found in New South Wales which permits 4WD driving on the sandy beach with a permit. You can view the Sygna shipwreck along the Stockton Beach by taking a dive beneath the surface. The dunes that are found here are amazing to take jeep rides to explore as well.
