Why Choose Nicklin To Design Your Packaging Solution?

Here at Nicklin we are inevitably proud of the very high standard of service we offer to all of our clients. From initial discussions regarding the most suitable method of packaging for a particular product, through to the manufacture of the chosen product, delivery of the finished goods and even waste packaging removal, we highlight our top reasons why we are on hand to help you to identify the most effective packaging solution:

1

Bespoke Specification and Design

Bespoke Specification and Design

Our team of experience designers can come up with a bespoke packaging product which is designed with the exact specifications of the goods you wish to transport. We’ll consider whether the goods will be shipped internationally, the size and weight of the goods, how the packaging will be stored and what equipment you will be using to transport the crates between the warehouse and the goods vehicle.

2

Working Loads

Of course, it’s important not only to consider the weight of the goods to be transported within the individual timber case or crate, but also how many of these cases can be stacked on top of each other and the weight implications of this. For example, if each timber case is required to hold goods to the weight of 1 tonne and the cases can be stacked 4 high, then in reality each case will need to be able to withstand a total weight of 4 tonnes.

Reusable Timber Crates

Reusable Timber Crates

Environmentally it makes sense to create a packaging solution which can be used for multiple trips. These therefore need to be well made, strong and durable, and should also be created so that they can be stacked efficiently when not in use. Our timber cases can be branded to allow easy identification, helping workers to return the cases back into the transportation cycle.

4

Secure Storage

The timber cases and crates designed by Nicklin can be closed securely in order to deter would-be thieves. The lids of the cases are sealed carefully to discourage tampering during transit or storage, as we understand that theft or damage can be extremely costly for a business, regardless of its size.

ISPM15 Guidelines

ISPM15 Guidelines

Timber cases or crates which are to be exported to countries outside of the EU must abide by ISPM15 phytosanitary regulations. This is to make sure that the timber used within the cases is free from pest infestations, which could then be transferred to raw wood in other ecosystems, potentially causing catastrophic consequences.
