Capt. Eric White is no stranger to the sport of fishing. His passion runs deep as a 5th generation Floridian born in Tampa, Florida. His family moved to Sarasota County when he was a toddler and he began fishing the surrounding waters as soon as he was old enough to hold a rod. His enthusiasm to learn and share his knowledge of the sport only escalated throughout his childhood. His entire family shares the passion of fishing every summer family vacations always included fishing trips in the Florida Keys. Eric’s dad holds an Unlimited Masters License and has traveled the world. Eric’s mom, a Florida native, was raised fishing the Gulfstream off the East Coast of Florida and still continues to share the passion. Eric's sister lives in the Florida Keys and also enjoys backcountry and offshore fishing. Capt. Eric’s grandfather was the Director of WCIND and Eric spent many a day fishing with him learning about West Coast Inland Navigation.
