The Hearts

Now that we have covered the more conventional foods, we think it's only fair to cover those foods that are unconventional, to say the least, introducing the Barbeque Heart – yes, we are talking about an actual heart. So try it if you can stomach it!

5

The "Balls"

This is certainly not for those who have a delicate constitution. When we mean "balls" we mean two things. First, it's a reference to lamb eyeballs, which are marinated and cooked to give it a meaty texture. Surprisingly, it is very popular in Shenyang. It's not every day you get to try out dishes like this, so give it a go if you dare!

6

Lamb 'Eggs'

Yes, we know that lambs don't lay eggs, but this is just clever euphemism, because what it's actually lamb testicles! These lamb eggs are cooked in oil and spices and are known for their strong flavor. Many people say that it even tastes better than the eyeballs, and the meat is far more flavorsome and its texture is leaner. Surprisingly, many claim that this will be "the best meatball you will have in your life".
