The restaurant is located within a beautiful 18th century mansion which has been meticulously restored to create a stylish and elegant hotel featuring a romantic atmosphere, perfect for an evening meal. The menu at Fort Printers uses mainly the best organic local produce and seafood, fresh off the ocean. The restaurant offers mezzes, soups and delicious mains made from grilled seafood. The chefs are also happy to adjust the menu based on guests' preferences. The Mediterranean inspired specials are a favourite among visitors while some arrive to try the authentic Sri Lankan rice and curry served with a few vegetable dishes and one meat or fish curry to make a filling meal.
