Top Water Sports in Langkawi – Gorgeous Tropical Archipelago

Langkawi is probably the most beautiful destination in Malaysia. Deemed a UNESCO Geopark in 2007, the archipelago is made up of 99 islands around which water based activities are top attractions.

1. Jet Ski Tours

This fabulous Jet Ski tour takes you around eight of the most beautiful islands on the Langkawi archipelago. The tour takes around 4 hours as you skim along the glistening waters of the Andaman Sea and explore the sun bleached beaches skirting the islands. You are also taken on Jet Ski to Dayang Bunting the most beautiful of all islands where you can explore verdant forests and climb over artistically formed rocky outcrops. 3. Kayaking across Mangrove Forests

There is nothing more rewarding and exciting than taking on a kayaking tour of the Langkawi mangrove forests. Four hour eco adventures are available across the verdant mangrove forests. As you paddle your way across the forests you will come across local flora and fauna such as monitor lizards, fiddler crabs, sea eagles, herons, kingfishers and much more. You are also taken to a local fish farm where daily routines such as feeding the fish take place. 4. Diving in Pular Payar

Diving is quite a treat around Pular Payar Marine Park; especially if you head out to a spot known as Coral Garden. This area is quite popular amongst divers for the vast amounts of tropical fish and soft coral thriving there. The visibility is excellent allowing you to interact with the fabulous marine life.

On an island hopping tour you will be able to explore many of the fabulous islands belonging to the archipelago. Explore the rainforests and stretches of white sand beach, swim within hidden bays and listen to local folklore. Depending on the islands you visit you will be treated to doses of ancient culture at the traditional villages.

6. Explore the Pulau Payar and Southern Island Geopark

Secluded islands and hidden coves are just a few of the lures awaiting you at the southern tip of the archipelago. There are many geo sites to explore; these are home to a wide variety of birds and marine species.
