The Burj Khalifa is a testament to the marvels of modern technology. The building demonstrates the achievable feats when modern technology and proper urban planning combine. The building stands at a height of 2,717 feet and is considered the tallest building in the world. The tower was topped up in 2009 and by 2010 the Burj Khalifa was named the tallest building in the world. Consisting of 163 floors the Burj Khalifa was first identified as the Burj Dubai when construction commenced in 2004. Islamic architecture is incorporated into the design of the building.
The Marina 101 stands at a height of 1,399 feet. It comprises of 101 floors and is located within the Dubai Marina. The building is home to apartments, clubs and many other forms of entertainment.
The Princess Tower once held the record of being the tallest residential building in the world between 2012 and 2015. It was topped out by 432 Park Avenue in New York. The tower stands at a height of 1,356 feet and comprises of 101 floors. It is the only wholly residential skyscraper located within the Dubai Marina district. Dubai certainly has much to be proud of with its marvels not limited to just the skyscrapers. Take the fabulous Palm Jumeirah for instance; this is a man-made archipelago of islands representing a palm tree and staying at a Palm Jumeirah hotel when in Dubai is certainly a popular option.
23 Marina is a residential building that stands at a height of 1,289 feet. It was the world's tallest residential building until the Princess Tower took over in 2012. The tower boasts a total of 57 swimming pools while each duplex resident is fitted with its own private elevator.
The Elite Residence too is located within the Dubai Marina district; it overlooks Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort located on the amazing Palm Jumeirah man-made archipelago. Standing at a height of 1,248 feet the building consists of 87 floors.
Tipped to be completed in the 3rd quarter 2016 this building stands at a height of 1,207 feet; it comprises of 72 floors. Construction commenced in 2013.
The Almas Tower is made up of 68 floors and stands at a height of 1,180 feet. Construction of the building which commenced in 2005 was completed in 2009. It was topped up in 2008 and had the honour of being the tallest building in the world until the Burj Khalifa took over.
