This well-known monument which was constructed in 1995 stands as a marker for the 50th anniversary of the conclusion of World War II. The distinctive clock rests on top of a 3 m high metal post, which in turn is set on a sturdy concrete covered base. You will see that the base of this structure features the badges of the three armed services, namely the Army, Navy and Air Force on three of its sides. The fourth side displays a plaque describing the dedication of the monument.
