Burj al Arab

Housed within a stupendous building that is testimonial to the achievements of modern architecture the Burj al Arab is the world's only 7 star hotel. It is one of Dubai's most iconic symbols recognised across the world and photographed a thousand times over – in fact it has the honour of being one of the worlds most photographed buildings. The building springs forth from the Arabian Gulf and is built to resemble the sail of a dhow – a traditional Arabian fishing vessel. Standing at a height of 321 metres the building is quite a sight at night for it is lit up with a choreographed display of lights, fire and water.

The place is famous for world 'firsts' such as; the world's highest mosque located on the 158th floor, the world's highest swimming pool which is located on the 76th floor and of course the world's highest viewing platform which is found on the 124th floor. The pyramid shaped building is an iconic landmark in Dubai; it is home to 900 apartments and office suites as well as a hotel.

The Dubai Marina

Keeping in line with Dubai's knack for creating 'world firsts' the Dubai Marina is the world's largest man made marina. The mock canal city is serviced with water from the Arabian Gulf which flows across the 3 kms that make up the marina. Hundreds of yachts are anchored there while a 7 km boardwalk is a top tourist attraction; serviced by sunny cafes, restaurants and bars. The marina was initiated with the purpose of housing a huge population of a 120,000 residents within its huge towers and villas. The setting up of an urban community within a pedestrianised area is encouraged within the Dubai Marina.

This is the world's tallest 'High-rise' building that does a twist of 90 degrees. This one of a kind marvel of modern architecture stands at a height of 305 metres and spirals from its base to crown at an angle of 90 degrees. The most unique feature of the building is that it does not have any single structure pillars. Made up of 80 floors the residential building offers potential buyers a chance to live in an apartment boasting amazing views.
