Flower Stream Park

Flower Stream Park is also called Huaxi Park and is located within the Flower Stream district. The place is loved for its artistic blend of winding rivers and rolling hills and is quite aptly referred to as 'the back garden of Guiyang City'. Made up of 136 acres of which 49 acres is dedicated to water features the park was built by local gentry during the Qing Dynasty. The park was created by installing towers, pavilions and the planting of colourful flowers amidst the hills; little islets too were added to enhance the natural beauty of the lake. There are 4 naturally formed hills in the park that are interspersed around the rivers; the park also has many tourist facilities. Guiyang Forest Park

The Guiyang Forest Park not located too far from the Anantara Guiyang Resort is the biggest and oldest municipal forest park in China. It certainly is well worth a visit for the park came into being in 1960 due to its verdant environs and the huge impact the areas natural beauty had on then Prime Minister Zhou Enlai. The park is located about 2.5 kms from downtown Guiyang and covers a total area of 532 hectares. Boasting a 90% forest coverage the highly wooded area is categorised into assorted forest zones such as Teak, Pine, Camphor, Catalpa trees and others. Tourist flock the area for its summer lures, gentle breezes, gorgeous hills and colourful environs. Certainly a place to visit, the park is meant for those seeking sanctuary in verdant confines. Qianling Hill Park

This park is found on beautiful Qianling Hill which is just 1.5kms from the Guiyang city centre. A top tourist attraction this is one of the first parks established right within the city. The park covers an area of 426 hectares and is named after Qianling Mountain which the park encompasses. Qianling Mountain is Guizhou Province's most prominent mountain. One of the most famous gardens in the whole Guizhou area, this park is made up of serene forests dotted with ancient temples, glistening waterways and verdant hills. A pleasure to experience the park is home to 8 must see attractions these are Sanlingwan, Qianling Lake, Kylin Cave, Hongfu Temple, Macaque Garden, Two-Dam Wind-Rain Bridge and the beautiful Winding Mountain Path.

Xiangzhi Valley

Xiangzhi Valley

Located about 40kms from Guiyang City this area is named due its main industry which is the production of perfumed paper – Xiang Zhi. Created out of bamboo this type of paper is used to venerate the dead and came into use during the Ming Dynasty. The gorgeous valley is made up of rivers, bamboo forests, karst caves and verdant mountains.
