Face Forward

Volunteers of America is one of the nation's largest nonprofit providers of quality affordable housing for families, elderly, and people with disabilities.

The goal of the Face Forward Program is to help youth, ages 16-24, leave their past mistakes behind them and help them plan a course for a successful future. Participants will receive a wide range of services to learn new skills, stay motivated, and avoid the stigma of the juvenile justice system

Public Art Interns
This is a paid employment program for young people ages 14-25 years old. There are two sessions that run during the course of the year: 1) after-school (October-May) and 2) summer time  (July-August). Young people are referred to this program through the Department of Youth Services, Boston Youth Fund, and ABCD. We offer all participants job training, case management, and mentorship, in addition to the hands-on art skills they gain.

Steps Young Adult Resource Center

STEPS is a peer supported, safe, non-judgmental place to have fun and receive support in a welcoming environment. At the center, membership is open to ALL young adults between the ages of 18-25 to get help in transitioning to independent living.
