Like many other campgrounds in Point Reyes, Wildcat Campground is hike-in only, adding to its seclusion and remoteness. You have to hike at least 5.5 miles of strenuous trails to get to the campsite, perfect for adventure-seekers and hikers. There are only 5 sites, meaning you will not have to deal with noisy neighbors. The campground is only a 2 mile hike from Alamere Falls, a rare tidefall.

Moose have been known to wander through the campsite and spend time near the campsite. Almost everyone who has stayed at the campsite have seen moose in the campsite or nearby along the Gros Ventre River. Nowhere else in the world will offer moose viewing right from your campsite. People have seen up to five at once in a campsite. It doesn't get much better than viewing moose from campsites. People come to see animals like wild bison grizzly bears, and of course, the elusive gray wolf. And the best place to see all these animals is in the legendary Lamar Valley. Slough Creek Campground is int he heart of Lamar Valley. Quiet and secluded, Slough Creek Campground is a nature and wildlife lovers heaven. Slough Creek Campground has spectacular wildlife viewing right at your doorstep. Wolves are denning within five minutes drive of the campsite this year. Due to its location in Lamar Valley, bison and elk can be viewed right from the campsite. As you leave the campsite and head in to Lamar Valley, you can see grizzly bears, black bears, wolves, fox, and many other animals. The campground is situated in a quiet part of the park, where you will encounter more bison than people, and really like your in the nature. During the night you can often hear wolves howl, a sound that you will never forget. With its wildlife and remote location, Slough creek is one of the best camping experiences in the United States, if not the world.

Wonder Lake Campground might just be the best campground in the United States of America. This campsite is the closest you can get to the famous and grand Mt.Denali without climbing it. This campsite is situated right in front of Mt.Denali, and offers amazing and breathtaking views of the tallest mountain in North America. Nowhere else in the world can you camp so close to such a high mountain and be awed by the beauty while you sleep. When the mountain is clear and cloudless, you won't find more spectacular views anywhere else. This campground is also very quiet and secluded, with very little people around. When you are camping there, it will feel like you have the mountain all to yourself. Yoou honestly cannot get over the breathtaking view. There are several hikes near the campground to see more beautiful and interesting views. thehre is also tons of wildlife in the area, including one of Denali National Park's densest population of moose. If you are lucky (like I was), you can see a moose in Wonder Lake, right in front of the mountain. Doesit get any better. Wonder Lake, with its spectacular views and abundant wildlife makes it among the best camping spots in the entire United States of America, if not the entire world.
