BYU students love Harry Potter and the magical world. Many grew up reading about this world and almost feel like they could be part of it. They couldn't be muggles, could they? No they must have forgotten to check the mail when their letter came.
This tower usually lets us know what time it is, but on occasion magic will come over the organists and Hedwig's Theme will ring across campus. This tends to happen on July 31. We have to celebrate the Boy that Lived after all.
Well normally Voldemort is male...but well sometime girls feel more evil than boys right? Lets not forget the difference between apparating and apparition, Snape being home teaching companions with Wormtale and Slughorn had a thing for McGonagall. Divine Comedy takes BYU culture and mixes it someone well with Harry Potter's world. A few things don't fit...but hey maybe NCMOs (non committal make out) really to cause your soul to break apart in pieces.
"Nowhere is safe from the Dark Lord and his accomplices.....not even BYU."--This is all the reason given for this video with two legged dementors and poor quality. Who knows why this was created but we can see these dementors that means we have to at least be squibs right?
Potter mania flies to BYU. That right at least in 2014 the entire week before Halloween was dedicated to Harry Potter and his world. Perhaps its just an excuse for all of us to pull our our wands and cloaks, lets be real as many BYU students as can afford them have them.
BYU Quidditch Club is a legit thing. I remember when they were first trying to figure out the game in 2011, before they were officially BYU's club. I wouldn't be surprised if many of the team members dreamed about flying over a field instead of running over it. Its a legit sport every try it out, who knows if you are fast enough you might play the role of the snitch...thats right a person plays the snitch...unless a remote control helicopter is available that is.
Studio C, the same cast as the previous divine comedy performance, regularly does a show involving Harry Potter, this might be one of the more strange ones.
According to Studio C "Even 'He Who Must Not Be Named' goes on blind dates." Yep this is a bit of a strange one too...
Lets end on a good note. The world of Harry Potter meeting the Middle Earth world. Who knew they had so many parallels...and no surprise Albus Dumbledore knew what was going on, he was one of the greatest wizards of all time and it appears that Gandalf just can't compete with Albus.
