5 Things to do in Nusajaya – Best of Johor

Nusajaya is a precinct in the vibrant city of Johor Malaysia. Lately the place has undergone a transformation to include theme parks, restaurants, shops and other touristy allures.

Legoland Malaysia

Legoland opened in Malaysia in 2012 since then the park has had over a 100,000 visitors. This was also the first theme park to open in Malaysia and is a must visit for families with kids. The park although not in Nusajaya is in the Medini area which is about 10 to 15 minutes from your Nusajaya accommodation. Prepare to spend an entire day browsing Legoland and the Medini Mall, home to a large number of restaurants, cafes, shops and souvenir boutiques. There are also in-house restaurants at Legoland for you to browse while entrance tickets cover the cost of all rides.

Hello Kitty Town Malaysia

Located right in Nusajaya, Hello Kitty Town is housed within a Puteri Harbour Building in Nusajaya. Since its inception in 2012 the theme park has been growing in popularity especially amongst children who absolutely adore the cuddly Japanese Kitty. Hello Kitty Land is just 15 minutes from Legoland and being fully air conditioned is a welcome respite from the heat. Within the park are themed restaurants, cafes, boutiques and souvenir shops together with various rides and thrills.

Puteri Harbour

Puteri Harbour is a 60,000sqft entertainment hub. The place is home to the Little Big Club taken from HIT entertainments top ranked shows Thomas and Friends, Angelina Ballerina, Bob the Builder, Pingu and Barney and Friends. As you can see this is one for the entire family; a place where children can step into their favourite show. Puteri Harbour which is adjacent to the Somerset Puteri Harbour Nusajaya apartment hotel is also home to the above mentioned Hello Kitty Town making it quite convenient to do the rounds. Danga Bay

Danga Bay is the largest waterfront city and park in Johor. Locally known as Teluk Danga the place is spread across 18,000 acres and boasts a shoreline that stretches for 25kms. Along the shoreline are up market residencies, theme parks, restaurants and sunny cafes. Danga Bay apart from being an entertainment hub is just 15 minutes from the Main Singapore CIQ causeway.
