Living exceptionally well by taking care of your well-being is part of the finance-package, not just counting your change. Healthy growth & healing is everything!

The following are a few of my favorites that are consistent staples in my sphere. Each make my life easier or just more enjoyable in some way, so I'm sharing the love with you too! Most are practical, therapeutic, and versatile, - and better yet, can be found in a variety of price ranges & preferences (online).

BLENDING DEVICE

I'm not suggesting you break the bank on a Vitamix, but it's pretty damn bomb (if you're using it at least once daily, look after it, and don't need to transport it). I took the plunge in 2011 and haven't looked back. This baby is more than just a blender, it's puree's like nobody's business (mini food processing), and the sky is the limit as to what you can create with it. Lately I'm obsessed with making cashew cream (1 cup of cashews soaked overnight, add olive oil, water, & blend)! I like to add garlic, Sriracha or pesto to switch it up.

EPSOM SALTS

This, you do not need to break the bank on. I'm near convinced that all epsom salts come from the same place, so when you're faced with buying the scented $20 125 ml jar that "looks pretty", or choosing the generic looking jumbo 10 lb plastic bag for $20, choose the jumbo bag and be economical. TIP: buy a concentrated essential oil (separately) and splash a few drops into the bath with your salts. I've never used this brand, though I've chosen the visual because I love both lavender & eucalyptus salts.

ACNE SOLUTIONS

ACNE SOLUTIONS

If you're lucky (like me), and adult acne is a thing in your world, this is THE BEST spot treatment I've found in existence (and I've tried a lot of products). Seriously, one spot of this (where you need it) overnight, and your 'spot' should be dried up (or significantly reduced) by morning. Other options: a dab of toothpaste, or dab of green tea oil (also awesome).

NEBULIZER

NEBULIZER

Air quality 101: you are the air you breathe. Mist streams of water mixed with essential oil, this device is a healing agent that will relax (or stimulate) you, depending on the oil you're using. It makes me sleep like a baby when placed by my bed, and clears my head during the day when I work with it by my desk. I was skeptical until I took the plunge, and now love it. This is the exact one I have. My fave oils are: Tree Scent, Eucalyptus, and Quick Study.

KONJAC SPONGE

KONJAC SPONGE

At home mini-facial. Truly, I use my Clarsonic daily (since 2011), but this is an affordable alternative and travels SO WELL! I never travel with my Clarsonic (as I travel carry-on only, and space & lightweight is everything), but I always bring this. This little guy has the power to take makeup off as well (mine, anyway), plus super-clean your skin while delivering whatever nutrients it's made of. I've tried the Green French Clay (featured here), and the charcoal; both great for oily or acne-prone skin. Not all brands are created equally; this one I like. These were $7 three years ago, and somehow they've doubled in price, but I still think it's a better option than "just your hands" or a face cloth if you are someone who needs a little help getting their skin clean.

LOVE HER YOUTUBE

LOVE HER YOUTUBE

Chalene! I love her & her hubby. She came into my life this past September, (hey! Facebook ads) and I've only recently become more engaged. She's fitness, business building, motivation & good energy. She always makes me smile; good enough reason for me to digest when I need a dose of uplift. She's the kind of person you wish were your neighbour so you could share coffee on each others deck's the morning while soaking in the sun, or have as a business-bestie because her values & work ethic are rock solid.

DIG HIS PODCAST

DIG HIS PODCAST

Tim is my favourite dose of random, wide-spread knowledge. I am an information junkie who is interested in - countless topics, and he delivers just that. Candid interviews, insightful perspective, humour, life-lacking advice, and more. He's an interesting human, and my passion project (stay tuned for that) was birthed in March of 2013 because of his book, The Four-Hour Work Week. The project is alive and I've garnered a lot of interested, but it's a slow-go being a 'maker in the balance of life)! Investors wanted. Wink, wink.

ONLINE MONEY MANAGER

ONLINE MONEY MANAGER

I can't exactly speak first hand raves about this site, as I've only recently populated it for interest sake (I have my own system which is basically the same, but in Excel and clearly not linked to my accounts real time). The site has been around since at least 2013, and I do know a handful of people who are happy with it's features. You can link your bank accounts, credit cards, brokerage accounts, etc., set goals, create a budget, and more. If you don't have your own system (or me, as your personal guide!), I would recommend this a decent money management tool you can trust. Updates to follow as my use on the clock increases.
