Pete's top ten list of tools that bring technology to the classroom

List of my top ten educational tools that are up to date with todays technology. Add or change what you think should be up here

Have you ever wished that you could bring a picture to life? Well, now you can with this new app called Aurasma. This app lets you scan auras with either your iPhone, iPad, or android, so its very versatile for everyone to use. When you scan the aura it comes to life on the screen of your device.

PollEverywhere

PollEverywhere is a fun poll or questionnaire website for teachers to use. this is an alternative to secretive that I will talk about later in the list. I personally like this tool better because there are more options and layouts that enhance the affects of what your doing. Its free and easy to use!

This device may look out dated and not up to todays par, but don't let it fool you because it is. This device takes the technology of your phone and brings it to a whole mother level. This device blocks out the peripheral vision and the only thing you see is your phone screen. so it brings virtual reality to a different level and actually makes you feel like you are there!

Kahoot!

Kahoot is a website that is made for taking quizzes in a fun way. It keeps score for you, keeps the leader board and lets you create your own nickname, so kids will automatically love when you use this. It lets you create your own questions and answers so it can be used for any grade level as long as the students have a way to access the internet, either laptop desktop smartphone or tablet will work!

This App just like Aurasma brings pictures to life but in a different way. This app has certain printouts that students can color and make their own and when scanned with the app they appear in 3D the way that they colored it. Also this app has quizzes and other interactive features that are a lot of fun to use.

Popplet

Popplet is a website that can be accessed on any apple products (sorry android users). Popplet lets your created maps and graphic organizers to help you learn and organize your information. This is a fun way to asses your students on what they know with out giving them a formal test, Also this is easy to use and is very customizable.

Plickers is the new form of the traditional clicker. Students get there own QR code that is assigned to their name through plickers. Each side of the card represents a letter, A,B,C,D just like old fashioned multiple choice but the teacher uses there smartphone camera to read the QR codes and get instant results and what answer each person put.

Google Classroom is a blended learning platform for schools that aim to simplify creating, distributing and grading assignments in a paperless way. The goal of this app is to take the education system and make it 100 percent paperless.

This website is used to created digital stories. Its very user friendly and simple so anyone form 5-85 can use this to make a story and take it to what ever level they want too. Its very fun to create your own story and there is endless ideas to use this in the classroom.

Scootpad is a website that deals with interactive learning. The coolest feature about scootpad is that it is all customizable for the capability of the student. There is both a teacher and student log in, t=so that makes it easy for it to be customizable and also severs as a very good track of progress for the student that can be seen from both log ins.
