Sightseeing & Tours in Mongkok – mesmerizing Mongkok

For a first-timer, Mongkok could look like a congested city. But within that congestion, the city promises a host of attractions for any traveller.

Garden of Stars and Starry Gallery

Initially known as Avenue of Stars, the place is currently close to the public due to refurbishment work in operation. But still, you can visit attractions in the neighbourhood such as Garden of Stars and Starry Gallery. These exhibitions showcase the sculptures, handprints and cartoon painting that take you to the filmic world in Mongkok. In fact it is a rare journey that takes you across the significant periods of the Hong Kong movie industry. A variety of photos related to classical movies and actors is available at the exhibition.
You can reach this place conveniently by a taxi. Or, you can seek transportation from one of the hotels in Kowloon Hong Kong such as Dorsett Mongkok Hong Kong. The hotels would usually arrange a shuttle bus to the subway station. Then it is a matter of passing a few stations to reach Tsim Sha Tsui on Tsuen Wan Line.

A Symphony of Lights

Even the Guinness Book has reference to this show. The book of the World Records has identified this show as the world's largest permanent light and sound show. If you get here past 8 pm, you will be in for a free public show. Once inside, you will feel the whole world filled with colourful lights.

The Peak and Peak Tram Ride

If you are scared of heights, then better not go for this. But if you have no such fear, the peak tram ride could really be enjoyed. The whole ascension to the peak would take about seven minutes. And that would expose you to the most striking scenery of the whole of Hong Kong. The peak tower provides you other facilities such as dining, entertainment and a host of other picturesque views of Hong Kong. Most interestingly, there is a jogging trail for you to have a great workout.
The tram is in operation from 7 in the morning to midnight. There are intervals of about 15 minutes in between. The easiest way to reach here is to get to the Mongkok subway station and take a train to Admiralty on Tseun Wan Line.

Lan Kwai Fong Area

Lan Kwai Fong is a very much busy complex. And you get to witness a host of attractions such as western restaurants and nightclubs. Interestingly Lan Kwai Fong has an L shape, surrounded by a great many skyscrapers. Other lanes in the vicinity too are busy and an ample leisure area for night birds. In this area, you will simply get lost among 90 eateries. Besides, there are carnivals and other festivities taking place in the area. If you are a beer fan, you wouldn't simply believe your luck to know that the area hosts its beer festival as well.
Lan Kwai Fong area, for all those reasons, will offer you a memorable experience during your stay in Mongkok.
