I'm a big believer in the pay it forward movement so hats off to these 10 companies that instill this value into their employees! These 10 companies that pay it forward help make our world a better place!
I think everyone and their Mom has heard about the Chive from Austin, Texas. You can't go anywhere without seeing a Chive On sticker on their car or Keep Calm and Chive on shirt! The Chive is a big believer in the pay it forward movement and as well is always doing charitable acts or random acts of kindness. One more thing that I really admire about this company is its respect and contribution to our men and women who have served in our armed forces! Chive on for sure! Great site, Great company, what more can I say! Wish there were more companies like this one!
Keep Calm and Chive On
Another company from Austin, Texas, Love on Revolution! This whole company is based on paying it forward. Here's the concept of how it works...you purchase a love on revolution wrist band and within 72 hours, you do a selfless deed or "pay it forward". The person who receives the wristband uses the code on the wrist band to share their story.
Also, for every wristband purchased, Love on Revolution promises to pay it forward to the planet by planting one tree on your behalf through our incredible charity partner www.treesforthefuture.org.
For the first time in history, we can map your Ripple Effect via the inspirational videos, photos, and stories that your act of kindness inspires on into the future.
Through your purchases, TOMS helps provide shoes, sight, water, safe birth and bullying prevention
services to people in need. Learn more about they give. Yet another great company concept, more companies should move to models similar to this.
I thought TripAdvisor was worth mentioning on this list. They have a unique model, a form of paying it forward. The company provides lunch 3 times a week and the employees donate what they would have spent on lunch to different charities! How cool is that! If I ever own my own business, I am definitely using this idea, its great! TripAdvisor also has its own charitable foundation and contributes two percent of their profits to the foundation.

Ron Shaich who is the founder of Panera Bread created stores where there are no set prices where you "pay what you can afford"
He got the idea four years ago after he heard about a community cafe in Denver where there were no set prices.
“They basically said, ‘Look, we’ll feed you no matter what you have in your pocket. And we’ll provide an opportunity for other people to pay it forward,’ ” Shaich says. “I looked over at my wife and said, ‘Wow! What a perfect way to really elevate people’s understanding about food insecurity.”
Coca Cola has a Pay it Forward Program that provides an apprenticeship to 4 lucky young People.
Pay it Forward Processing is a nationwide, full-service merchant card processing company dedicated to “paying it forward” in every aspect of our operation. We treat our customers with honor, respect, and integrity, and we take care of our sales force to attract the best team members possible.
The centerpiece of our pay it forward philosophy is our “Every Swipe Benefits Charity” program. This innovative program donates portions of every transaction to a charity of our customer’s choice (from our selective list of quality charities). Our nonprofit customers have used our “Every Swipe Benefits Charity” program as a fundraiser for their organization and have reclaimed net proceeds from their account as donations. This donation does not increase any cost to our customers. In fact, we guarantee that we can match or more likely lower a business’s current merchant processing costs.
