Kwara camp is located on the northern fringes of the Okavango Delta and is known for its large population of predators.

Cheetahs are in very high numbers in the Kwara Camp in the northern Okavango Delta. The area is perfect terrain for cheetah as there is lots of there favorite prey animals and there are not too much lions, allowing cheetahs and their cubs to thrive. In Kwara Camp cheetah are considered plains game because they are so common. It is considered by many to be the best camp in Botswana to see cheetah and some even consider it the best in the world to see cheetah. Recent reports have said that cheetahs were spotted on every game drive. Other people have reported seven cheetah sightings in this fantastic camp in just four days. It is definitely Okavango's and Botswana's cheetah camp.

Kwara Camp also has a good population of leopards with people reporting daily sightings. Lions, though not too common, can also be spotted frequntly, sometimes on every game drive.

Tubu Tree Camp

Tubu Tree Camp us part of Wilderness Safaris, a string of remote camps located in the pristine Okavango Delta in Botswana. The camp is a luxurious and very intimate one. \

Tubu Tree lies on Hunda Island, an area long known for leopard sightings. The guiding is very good and the guides can easily spot leopard spoor and tracks.The cats are very prevalent here due to a lack of lions and not much competition with other predators except hyenas. Mothers with cubs are also a big hit here. It is not uncommon to see leopards one every game drive.

Other than leopards, hyenas are common here along with general game. Lions in Tubu Tree are more hit and miss. There have been reports of up to eight leopard sightings in three days. The only downside is the expensive rates, going over 1,500$ a night in the high season.

Though lions are not common everywhere in the Botswana, they are more than common in the Duba Plains Camp. It is a camp on an island in the heart of the delta, and there are tons of lion prides in the area. The lions have been accustomed to hunting buffalo here, and even better, they hunt it during the day. People have seen several buffalo hunts on a single game drive. There are several large prides with cubs in the area along with coalitions of magnificent males. There us virtually no competition for the lions, so the population keeps on growing. The animals are very habituated to the vehicles, meaning you can watch the prides, cubs, and hunts from a distance of a few meters.

You will spend pretty much all your time in this camp watching lions, and you are pretty much confirmed to spot lions on every game drive. This camp is considered by most to be the best camp in Botswana to spot lions. It is also considered by many to be the best place in the world to spot lions on safari.Unfortunately, due to the large number of lions, other predator sightings are slim.

Kwando Lagoon probably produces the most consistent sightings in the world of an elusive, beautiful, and majestic predator. It is the wild dog. With their beautiful coats and adorable faces, who could not enjoy seeing this amazing canine? Kwando Lagoon probably offers you the best chance in Botswana, if not Africa to see these endangered animals.

Kwando Lagoon has several packs that reside near the camp. . There are tons of their favorite prey and the terrain is perfect for them. One reason for the abundance of wild dog sightings is the accessibility of the dens. They den close to the camps so when the dogs are denning they will stay close to the den, so whenever you go to the den you can see the dogs and their beautiful pups. You can also spot several dog hunts, some have spotted them taking down several impala at a time. People have reported sightings of the dogs and their pups on every game drive and also reported viewing hunts every day.

Cheetah are also very common in Kwando Lagoon. People have reported sightings on every game drive and like Kwara, they are very abundant. Some consider Kwando Lagoon the best place to see cheetahs in Botswana. Leopards are also very common, lions are not too high in number but can still be spotted frequently.

Mashatu Reserve, Botswana

The Mashatu Reserve is a reserve located in the Tuli Block of southeast Botswana. The area is known for a large population of leopards that are frequently spotted. Like Sabi Sands, the main reason why leopard sightings are so good in Mashatu is the fact that the animals are extremely habituated to the vehicles. In Mashatu, you can get as close as five feet and the leopards are absolutely unfazed by your presence, leading to excellent and up-close photography opportunities.

Other than leopards, Mashatu has a ton of elephants. There are elephants pretty much everywhere, drinking water and grazing. You can also see several elephant calves playing. The abundance of elephants is the reason Mashatu is called, Land Of The Giants. Mashatu also has several cheetah and lion in the area, wild dogs also come in to the area occasionally. There have been reports of ten different leopard sightings(6 different individuals) in five nights.
