Capital

Shopping
Dhaka also has one of the biggest shopping malls in the world. The Bashundhara City and Jamuna Future Park are the most popular ones. The city also has numerous mid-size malls in every neighborhood. If you go for shopping in the markets and street bazaars, make sure to bargain. To get a feel of what things should cost in the local markets, check the prices in the western-style shops and then deduct 10%.

Transport

The best way to get around these palaces and shopping centers is by hiring a cycle rickshaw, auto-rickshaw, or a taxi.

Cycle rickshaws are the most popular form of transport, which is good for short distances. Auto-rickshaw are easily found and have meters on them, which the drivers use often. For long distances, auto-rickshaws are the cheapest form of transport. Taxis, on the other hand, are rather difficult to hire from the streets, so you will have to book one.
