Jimbaran is a place you must visit in Bali. With beautiful beaches, historically significant monuments, friendly locals and mouthwatering seafood dishes there is something for everyone to enjoy.
This truly is a dreamy beach stretch. A fabulous beach that is popular for its white sand and the surrounding white stone cliff. Ideal for surfing or chilling out with family and friends, Dreamland beach attracts plenty of visitors to watch the sunset each evening.
The sacred and significant Hindu temple Uluwatu or Pura Luhur Uluwatu is believed to be one of the six main temples in Bali, which protects the country from any kind of evil. The temple is renowned for its location; perched on a steep cliff 70m above the sea level it is one of the most visited attractions of Jimbaran. The picturesque sunset backdrop of the temple and the traditional Balinese architecture with ancient sculptures and designs has made Uluwatu Temple a must go to location for visitors. Each evening beautiful Kecak dance performances are held at the temple and many people gather to admire the acts held against the sunset. Hundreds of wild monkeys are seen around the temple and it is believed they are protecting it from any type of bad influence. The temple is dedicated to worship the Hindu deity Siva Rudra whom the Balinese Hindus believe is the idol of all elements and aspects of the universe. Staying close to the Uluwatu temple in hotels such as Alila Villas Uluwatu will give you a chance to explore Jimbaran at your own pace.
This is a cultural park on the southern coast of Bali, twenty minutes away fro Jimbaran. Garuda Wisnu Kencana or GWK as referred to locally is famous for its massive statue of the deity Vishnu riding on the back of a supernatural animal called 'garuda'. GWK is dedicated to preserving art, culture and spiritual aspects of the island and it has become a popular location in Bali for various cultural and traditional performances, exhibitions and conferences. This is one of the best places to appreciate the rich art and culture of Bali while enjoying the adventure activities that the park offers.
One of Bali's most popular surf spots Padang Padang Beach is on the north-west coast of the island, close to some of the best Bali Resort Villas. During the surfing season when the weather is stable, the beach attracts surfers from around the world. International surfing events are held at Padang Padang attracting both amateur and pro surfers looking to ride the perfect waves.
To catch the action at Kedonganan Fish Market, you will need to rise early. Just after sunrise you see the fishing boats returning to the shore to unload the day's catch. Baskets filled with live fish and the usual commotion of Asian fish markets are a great way to witness the fishing culture here. This is the largest fish market in Bali and you find a variety of just off the hook saltwater fish that is sold for great bargains.
This is a place the whole family can enjoy, especially if you are travelling with kids. The five hectares of entertainment combines a waterpark with a range of outdoor games and activities. There's a lot of space for splashing around in the water and outdoor adventure sports including bungee jumping, flying fox rides as well as paintballing.
This is one of the less crowded beaches of Jimbaran, Bali. The Pandawa beach is known as Pantai Pandawa locally. This beach is unique not only for its glistening aquamarine waters but also the ocean-facing cliffs featuring large carved statues. These statues depict heroic characters from the Mahabharata and are known as the 'five Pandavas' hence the name of the beach. Apart from carving you can enjoy usual pleasures of a great beach such as water sports, beachside cafes, seafood etc.
This is a top surfing spot in Bali but mostly for pro surfers. Riding the waves and the reef break of Bingin beach requires experience so it's best left for advanced surfers. However, it is a great place for swimming and snorkelling. This is a great place to simply relax under the sun while sipping your favourite cool drink!

Another one of Jimbaran's pro surf beaches, Balangan beach is on the northern end of the island. This is a surfing paradise where you find many international professional wave riders. However surfboards are available on rent and the surf schools offers lessons for newbies as well. There are plenty of warungs or small cafes around the beach for a quick meal or drink. Accommodation is available at the bungalows attached to the beach area.
