They offer a wide range of attractive website templates catering for varying industries, hobbies and interests. The support offered is plentiful and there's an endless amount of help guides and knowledge documents to help you if needed.

3

Weebly

Weebly

Weebly is an extremely well known website builder, and it is definitely one of the most reliable. This is mainly down to it’s ease of use and fool proof setup. Weebly is a steady bet when choosing a site builder, this is backed up by its global popularity. We weren't overly impressed by the quality of their templates and the features on offer aren't much to write home home. Weebly is certainly a good solid choice, but we think there are defiantly better options out there.

4

iPage

iPage

Considering iPage's bread and butter is web hosting they supply a solid site builder offering. Prices are very competitive and the site builder is offered free with domain and hosting packages. The package as a whole works well and utilizes weeblys site builder expertise whilst supplying a quality hosting service that iPage is known for.

Web

Web

Web.com is a very big player in the website hosting, website building and online marketing scene. They make their entry costs extremely enticing, as low as $1.95 for the first billing cycle, after which it catapults up to a ridiculous price. Web.com has won awards for their service, which is testament to their very high customer recognition ratings, appearing on TV multiple times. Web.com have a knack for being unhelpful support wise, which is surprising considering their size and noteriety. This has come to our attention not by using it ourselves, simply because we didn’t have to, but by the sheer quantity of customer reviews which relate to Web.com having poor support. A search on google will confirm this. Overall, Web.com is not a great choice, you will be stunned by their second-term prices, then when you come to rectify it you will be met with an unhelpful customer service team. Not a cycle you want to be in! Your impending disappointment with Web.com is not delayed, with their painful sign up form - a password needs an upper case letter, a lower case letter, a number, a special character and must be 8-14 characters long. Go figure.

SquareSpace

SquareSpace

SquareSpace are renown for giving users the ability to create truly beautiful websites. The templates have been skilfully crafted in a way that allows you to make personal touches but generally keep the theme consistent to the way the designer intended. Although they don't offer a wide range of templates they do rotate their selection on a regular basis and almost all of the designs are outstanding. They are one of the more expensive site builders on the market and the whole experience feels very high end.

7

WIX

WIX

It’s an easy bet that if you have done any sort of research into website building, or possibly even none, that you will have heard of Wix. They are undoubtedly the biggest website building platform online, already with almost 66 million users and 45,000 new ones every day, the numbers certainly speak in Wix’s favour. But are they deserved of these impressive figures? Does their service match their popularity? From the experience of using Wix to build many websites in our time, we can certainly conclude that Wix are a safe bet to choose, but we don’t think it is as impressive as the figures may suggest.

8

SiteLio

SiteLio

Sitelio is not one of the most well known of site builders but one which we think deserves a bit more attention. They have a clear attention towards design and would be perfect for the more creative users. There is a huge selection of templates to choose from, all different designs and colour schemes, which are all aesthetically pleasing. Sitelio is recommended for the user who is after a very simple building and design experience, whilst maintaining a huge potential for website creation. Sitelio is a website builder for everyone, but if you have a design inclination, you will have a ball using their service.

9

GoDaddy

GoDaddy

GoDaddy is primarily a domain name merchant, with 59 million domain names under management and 12 million customers, they are quite a force in the domain name world. Our focus is on their website building service, which comes as an add on to their domain name service - if you buy a domain, you get to build the website to go on it for free. Simple as that. As far as building the website goes, GoDaddy is most certainly easy to set up. Everything you may need when running a simple online website is accessible to the user. Although, this does come as a trade off for quality and the size of your wallet. The features are there, but if you want them, you will have to pay. This would be moderately acceptable in the format of paying a larger price at the start to have access to more features, after all, this is what most website building services do, but with GoDaddy, there is something simply unsettling about having to enter your card details every time you want to build a menu.

Sitey

Sitey

Sitey is one of our favourite website builders on the market due to its impressive editor and huge selection of professional looking templates! What it lacks in customer base, it more than makes up for in usability, and accessibility to beginners. It is hard to argue with Sitey’s model - more templates higher quality templates, simple editor, more features - more and better everything! It is very clear that the team at Sitey have pinpointed everything which a website builder user may want, and put all of their time and effort into bettering it.
