I'm an automotive technician and I needed a headlight to to help light up areas of a car that flashlights/underhoolights are too big and too bulky to get to, or for when I need to use both hands (i.e. performing soldering/vehicle wire repair). Several of my coworkers have been adamant about name brand headlamps (namely, coastal and led lenser). Everyone was surprised with the quality of this headlamp, and even more amazed by the price of it! It's zoomable, has two different brightness modes, and even a strobe mode. The box doesn't come with instructions, but it's pretty easy to figure out. Upon opening the package, you must insert the batteries into the battery pack (admittedly, the battery pack is fairly large, as are the batteries, but it didn't bother me at all). The pack opens by releasing 3 locking tabs. There's a charger port built into it that's covered by a rubber tab when not in use. After fully charging the batteries, I used the headlamp on a mixture of full power/low power for around 6 hours while resealing a transfer case on a 4wd Highlander over a period of 2 days.
