Ever since my husband and I were young, we have dreamed of a safari. We always really considered it a pipedream, to be honest. But now, is in the realm of possibility! If we went, it would be "a naturale" and not "a la carte". By that I mean, I don't want to see wild animals interacting with human beings in a "trained" setting. Case in point: I would love to go to Thailand where you can swim/touch/interact with elephants until I discovered that their handlers have poked and prodded them into submission. My idealism fades to black. So, enjoying them at a distance, living the way they were meant to live, seems the best way to enjoy them. I would love to read your thoughts about an African trip, experiences, etc.
