Challenge conventional thinking! When someone says "that's the way we do things", ask why? When someone says "that won't work here", ask why not? Challenge stagnation and catalyze progress!
When people know they could be disciplined or fired for mistakes, they're not willing to try new things. Give "get out of jail free" cards once per year, remove blame for great ideas that don't work. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take, after all!
Whether Creativity resides in your "right" or "left" part of the brain, whether you belong to your company's R&D or Operations Departments, one thing is sure: you can do more to create an environment where your teams can create cool stuff and give your organisation a competitive advantage.
