Welcome to my blog Passport and Toothbrush where you'll find all kinds of quirky things and some not so quirky things that I have encountered during my travels around the world and at home here in London. Besides working and living abroad, I try to use every opportunity I get to travel. With passport and toothbrush in hand I try to visit at least one new country every year. Of the 60+ countries I've been to, Cuba and Japan are my absolute favourite, but you can find me somewhere on a beach in Spain where my parents live a couple of times a year. And of course the same goes for my beloved Holland.

For the past few years I have been living in London above my workshop where I make Penny Farthings. It has to be said that its pretty Bohemian but I love it. Between 2006 and 2008 I cycled around the world on my Penny farthing, visiting 23 countries, and riding 23,000 miles, or 35,405 km if you like the new fangled way of things.
Now I have started a new adventure, I'm off around the world again this time heading westward, lets see where the road leads..

I am long term wanderer from Melbourne, Australia. That is to say that I’m from Melbourne when filling out official forms though I have been of no fixed address for years. I’m what’s known as a location independent entrepreneur (AKA a digital nomad), living the work and travel lifestyle since 2003.
In 2011 Jonathan Look sold everything he owned, took early retirement and began traveling the world. He admits it was a pretty radical step, but after living a rather typical American life, a life based on seeking comforts and accumulating possessions, he longed for adventure and experiences far more than holding on to his “stuff”.
