Candolim Beach

Candolim is the first beach that can be approached from the capital city of Panaji.

Predominantly Catholic in nature but all religions are catered for here. Numerous celebrations and festivals take place during the year including Diwali and Holi festivals and are well worth experiencing.

Miramar Beach

Situated just three km from Goa’s capital, Panaji, Miramar beach is located at the estuary of river Mandovi. The word Miramar is derived from Portuguese word, which means ‘viewing the sea’.
The beach is famous for its golden soft sand and palm trees. It is said that the sand of the beach looks brighter in moonlight.

Vagator Beach

Vagator Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in north Goa. It is located in Bardez taluk of Goa about 21 km northwest of Panaji.
Located away from the other touristy places in Goa, Vagator is clean and quiet. Vagator is split into two as it is separated by a headland. When you stand on the headland facing the sea, the beach on your right is the Big Vagator Beach or North Vagator Beach and the beach on the left is Ozran Beach which is popularly known as Little Vagator Beach. The beach is a good place to spend some time in peace and helps recover from the glitz and crowds of Anjuna.

Arambol Beach

One of the beautiful beaches of Goa, Arambol beach is located 55 km from Panaji. It is favoured by foreigners.
Stretching for 2.5 km, the beach is divided into two – Arambol and Harmal. Harmal is more popular than Arambol.
The Harmal beach is more scenic as compared to the Arambol beach due to its surrounding cliffs.

Baga Beach

Discovered by the Hippies, Baga became an important stopover on the Hippie trail during the sixties and seventies. Years after Hippies popularized it; Baga continues to retain the ethos and characteristics of the movement minus the decadence associated with it.
Baga is located in North Goa, 16 km from the state capital Panaji. Calangute Beach is to its south and Anjuna Beach to its north. The Baga river skirts the sides of the beach, ultimately to flow into the Arabian Sea. Baga Beach starts right where Calangute ends. However, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where.
