Our History:
Originally founded in 1932, 1st United Services Credit Union has a long history of service in the Bay Area and is open to anyone who resides, works, or attends school in Alameda or Contra Costa counties in California.

Community:
1st United Services Credit Union reaches beyond serving our members' financial needs. We also sponsor, host and support various community and school related events, charitable fundraisers and festivals.

Youth Financial Literacy:
At 1st USCU, we believe that developing good money management skills early in life leads to financial success in the future. Through interactive presentations at schools, we teach the fundamentals of managing finances, giving students the basic knowledge necessary to make educated choices.

Member Seminars:
We frequently hosts free educational seminars for members. Special topics have included: first-time home buying, credit building, identity theft, and youth spending and saving.

We believe in listening, understanding and working together to create a better future. We exist to make a real difference in people’s lives. We know that through engaging with our families, friends, and community we can make a difference.

ABCO Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit, cooperative financial institution headquartered in Southern New Jersey. It was founded in 1958 as the Burlington County Teachers Federal Credit Union. Our first "deposit" was $1.50 and we even had to borrow $52 to buy our bookkeeping books and a hand-cranked adding machine. Our first members had to come to our garage to make deposits and take out loans.

We have come a long way since 1958 and now serve over 30,000 members throughout the United States through our 8 branch locations and our website. Our primary member base is concentrated in central and southern New Jersey and consists of employees of the following groups and organizations:

• Boards of Education and teachers in colleges and universities in Atlantic, Burlington, Gloucester, and Cape May counties
• Hospitals and Casino employees
• Burlington County municipalities
• County and state workers
• Many private employers
