About Kimberley

City of Kimberley

Kimberley, BC, Canada A good place to be. Welcome to Kimberley, BC, a good place to be! Our community is situated in the Kootenay Rockies, and we think we're pretty fortunate. It could be because of the scenery, or the endless activities, or simply because our people make it a good place to live, work, learn and play.

Kimberley

Kimberley (population 7,870 including surrounding Regional District Area E) is a tight-knit, four-season resort community in the Kootenay Rockies region of British Columbia. Known as both the "City of Festivals" and the "Bavarian City of the Rockies", it's not just the European alpine theme that sets this picturesque little city apart from nearby communities such as Cranbrook.

Kimberley, British Columbia

Kimberley ( Ktunaxa: k̓ukamaʔnam ) is a city in southeast British Columbia, Canada along Highway 95A between the Purcell and Rocky Mountains. Kimberley was named in 1896 after the Kimberley mine in South Africa. From 1917 to 2001, it was the home to the world's largest lead-zinc mine, the Sullivan Mine.
