Every year people around the world choose a word they would like to help shape their life. Choose your word, blog about it and add the link to this List!
2014 is all but over as I type up this blog post. I would like to say that I squeezed every good drop out of the last 365 days but I know it's not true. Did I live more than ever before? Yes. Did I travel more? Yes. Did I earn more?
Happy New Year everyone! For our household, it truly is a happy new year now for us since Del is home from the hospital after a week-long stay in the hospital. While I was in the hospital it definitely gave me a bunch of time to reflect and think.
*2015 is going to be about Igniting the fire within me that will allow me to embrace, grow, and become who I am meant to be both personally and professionally :) *
This is the first year I've chosen a "theme." This year the word is abundance. My teenage daughter who is usually the one to explain things to me, told me she didn't know what abundance meant. At first thought, you might think it has something to do with money.
Last year's word for the year was Progress , and we made lots of it. Not as much or as fast as we would have liked at times, but each time we were discouraged we concetrated on doing the next right thing, realizing that even the little steps in the right direction were progressing us toward our goals. - This year we're going to build on that progress and AMPLIFY our reach, influence and impact!
I never make New Year's resolutions. I have never stuck to one and honestly never saw the point in making a goal just because it was a new year. This year I have a different outlook. 2014 was a pretty bad year around here.
Happy New Year to all my readers! I hope that you will experience unlimited supplies of success, peace and joy in 2015. I aim to continue to bring you awesome value to help you to enjoy living remarkable lives. Many of us will be working hard to create a bunch of New Year's resolutions which we will break by next week.
As has been the tradition for the last couple of years, SoloMastermind members have shared a word to embody their intentions for the year to come. It's a departure from resolutions and has a much bigger impact on your mindset for the year to come.
It's been a year of trust. Challenges and blessings, unbelievable lows and exciting highs. I am so thankful that through it all, God was, is, and always will be, constant. And I am thankful for so many of you who took that journey of trust with me.
Two years ago I did a post about choosing a word of the year. In 2013 my word of the year was Courage. I think I did pretty well embodying my word of the year that year. I did the Warrior Dash that year and climbed that wall that I'm going to say was 50 feet tall.
Over the last 6 months, I have heard the steady rhythm of a voice whispering over and over "I have big plans for you". The words change ever so slightly, but they have stolen my heart with new possibilities. The message is clear and plays on repeat reminding me my life is not my own.
Happy New Year Friends! Well it is now officially 2015 and you know that I don't make new years resolutions. I pick a word and try as hard as I can to implement that word into my everyday life.
For both 2013 and 2014, my One Word was Peace. Although I can't say I've fully achieved that, I have made progress. In thinking about my One Word for 2015, I hadn't reached a decision before I visited Melynda's blog, Our Sunday Cafe.
December 31 is here, and everyone is asking about New Years Resolutions. A few years ago, I started to do a ONE WORD resolution. Instead of making a bunch of goals and things that I would never complete, I decided I would choose one word and focus on that.
Focus Choose what goals you want to set this year. Decide which projects you want to finish. Focus on those goals and projects. Put your mind to it and set aside time to work on them without distractions. "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."
I've picked a word for the year in the past and for this year I pick EMBRACE. I am going to EMBRACE change (we'll be moving again at some point), EMBRACE work (I love my podcast and I'm applying for a work from home position), EMBRACE who I am (I've never denied being a Native woman, but I also didn't put it to the forefront of everything, which can sometimes feel stifling), and EMBRACE being creative.
Last year I joined in and chose a word to focus on. New Year's resolutions don't work and I haven't partaken in them. But it is definitely a time for reflection and seeing new goals for the calendar year ahead. 2014 my word was Laziness. It worked.
Every year for seven years, God gives me a word for the year. It happens early, usually in October. The word simply appears and then tumbles around in my heart like clothes in a drawer. Over and over for weeks, my mind meditates on this new word, knowing it will be an important theme for the upcoming 12 months.
I knew I wanted a word that would help motivate me to take action in my business and personal life in 2015. I do a lot of over-thinking and analyzing, so for 2015 my word has to be DO. I'm going to DO things this year and not just think about them.
