videos in teaching

Here is a list of videos with some ideas how to use them in classrooms

Life is transitory

This video can serve as a nice warm-up activity, when we have to analyze a literary piece of work.( Unit 2, lesson 3, 12-th form "Life is to be lived"),as well as a wrap -up of the lesson, etc.

The Force Be With You

The video provides extraordinary context and “reality” for learning vocabulary. It is like the students are right there. List important words from a video and have students circle or order them as they watch. Then use as cues to retell.

Ordinal numbers

Learning Numbers. Sounds like a simple thing, no video needed? Not really. When learning numbers with a context, they are acquired much better. Plus it is much more fun!

The Power of Words

Language can be so powerful. Motivate students by impressing upon them the power of language and how important it is for their own success in life. Play for students and use as you desire for teaching. Stop at the end before the sign is shown and get students to guess or write down what they think the lady changed the sign to. A "must to be watched" video...( 11-th form "The Seeing See Little")

Where the hell is Matt?

Great video for traveling . Stop and test student knowledge, let them guess. Get them up and dancing with it!
