Cheers is a home away from home, a place where everybody knows your name. There's a certain comfort in being able to go to a bar where you know you can just escape whatever work or family issues you'd been dealing with and unload them on your bartender.
Monk's Café is a fictional coffee shop from the NBC sitcom Seinfeld.
The exterior of Tom's Restaurant on the corner of West 112th Street and Broadway, near Columbia University, is often shown on the show as the exterior of Monk's, though the interiors were shot on a sound stage. The restaurant consists of a number of booths, tables, and a counter. Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer normally sit in the first or second booth from the entrance. Throughout the show's run, the chance to sit in the first booth — and thus be included in a Seinfeld scene — was auctioned off for charity.
Well who can forget this place. The place where almost whole F.R.I.E.N.D.S took place. From the first scene, the smelly cat performance, Ross and Rachel's first kiss....all happened here.
As the sitcom has shown us, this place is ideal for three things: grabbing an after-work drink, gossiping with friends, and picking up chicks, which is all you need in life, really.
Sometimes you want to impress a date with cocktails that are $14 a piece and infused with root vegetables, and then sometimes you just want a good, dank dive, where the drinks are cheap, the pool table is always free, and the floor is suspiciously sticky. Moe's Tavern is that bar.
A wood-interior cafe in Seattle where uppity intellectuals hang out? That's gotta be one hell of a cup of Joe. Plus, I bet there's a chess set just waiting to be dusted off on a shelf somewhere.
The Cheesecake Factory is a restaurant in Pasadena where Penny worked as a waitress to pay her bills, and where Leonard, Sheldon, Raj, and Howard often go to eat. Bernadette also worked here for a time.
