To me, bedtime stories mean love, care, and bonding. I have always been a big advocate for anything to do with reading between parents and children because I believe reading helps build confidence, while giving kiddos a chance to form comforting
Maybe the title is a bit wrong because I have never, ever met a youngster who needed a nudge into getting excited about Christmas. However, I have met quite a few who need a reason to stay excited, especially when the anxiety of Santa Claus and his impending arrival is looming ever closer.

Christmas is coming! I know - it snuck up on me, too. And with Christmas comes to usual holiday stuff - parties, lists, decorations, and kids waiting on the much-anticipated annual approach of Santa Claus. Awesome! However, until the actual night before or day of Christmas, kiddos can get frustrated or exhaustingly excited because their favorite holiday is moving too slow for their liking.
Christmas for parents is all about balancing the magic of the season with the reason for the season. We want our kids to laugh, have fun, and be in awe -but not just of Santa and the gifts he brings.
Whether you read books to each other, or near each other, make a holiday book a part of the celebration. Holiday themed books can be found in many different areas of the Children's Collection. While you will find picture books in a designated 'Holiday' book area, there will also be Holiday books in the I Can Read, Fiction and Non-Fiction collections.
