Auto Repair and Maintenance Services

Your Mechanic was founded in 2011 with the goal to make car repair and maintenance affordable, convenient and transparent. We specialize in providing all kinds of auto repair and maintenance services to our clients.

Battery Replacement

A strong, healthy battery is essential to the proper operation of your vehicle. Mostly, battery failure can occur as a result of chronic undercharging, overcharging, abuse or vibration. Since modern vehicle computer systems create a small but constant drain on batteries, even when the vehicle is parked, long sitting periods can cause a vehicle's battery to go dead and need a charge.

Brake Caliper Replacement Service

Brake calipers are the assemblies, which squash the brake pads against the disc brake rotor to slow a vehicle down when pressure is applied to the brake pedal. These assemblies can fail just like any other part of your car's braking system and may need to be replaced.

Serpentine/Drive Belt Replacement

Today's modern vehicles use a serpentine belt to drive the air conditioning system, alternator, water pump, smog pump and power steering pump. The serpentine belt system consists of only one belt and one automatic belt tensioner.

Clutch Fluid Replacement

Brake fluid is a special fluid that fills the pipes between the pedal and the wheels .There is no such thing as Clutch Fluid. It is simply brake fluid. It is sometimes called Clutch Fluid because it resides in the clutch master cylinder.

Engine is backfiring Inspection

Backfiring is usually the result of too much oxygen in the exhaust system. This causes a combustion in the exhaust system which results in backfire from the exhaust. Oxygen can enter the exhaust from leaks present in any component of the exhaust or from the air injection system, if the vehicle is equipped with such a system.

Door Lock Actuator Replacement

A door lock cylinder is a cylindrical tumbler that fits a matching key. Cars have at least two door lock cylinders (drive and passenger doors). They are used daily, eventually they will wear out and fail requiring replacement.

Engine or Transmission Mount Replacement

An engine mount made of rubber and steel has two purposes. One, it secures the engine and transmission to the frame of the car and other, it absorbs the road-shocks and engine vibrations so that the driver does not feel any engine movement. Transmission mounts secure the transmission.

Air Filter Replacement Service

Your car takes in air and passes it into the engine through the air filter. The air filter takes out dust, leaves and other debris from the air before passing it into the engine where it’s mixed with fuel.

Fuel Filter Replacement Service

The fuel filter cleans the fuel of particles and debris in the gas tank before it reaches the fuel pump. The gas tank can get rusted and retain moisture, causing the fuel to become contaminated. The fuel filter protects the engine from damage by making sure the fuel from the gas tank is clean.

Cooling System Flush Service

A cooling system flush essentially flushes out the entire system of contaminants and replaces the coolant mixture with fresh coolant and water.

AC Compressor Replacement Service

The AC compressor has several moving parts including pistons and valves. These internal parts can fail, causing the AC compressor to stop working. It is common for the internal parts of the compressor to come apart and disperse metallic debris throughout the system.

Brake Hose Replacement Service

A car can have up to four brake hoses with each hose attached to a braking component. Brake hoses transfer the brake fluid from the master cylinder to the brake calipers or wheel cylinders.

Ignition Coil Replacement Service

Ignition coils transform low voltage electrical power 12 volts D.C. to high voltage current 50,000 volts D.C. or higher. The spark generated by the ignition coil ignites the fuel and air mixture in the engine that enables the car to start and run smoothly.

Brake Light Bulb Replacement

Brake light bulbs are located at the back of the car, housed inside a protective covering. The brake light turns on when you push the brake pedal, letting drivers know that you are slowing down. If the brake light does not illuminate, you’re at a higher risk for causing an accident.

Door Mirror Replacement

Mirrors are important safety features that allow drivers to see their surroundings. Most cars have at least three mirrors, one rear-view mirror and two side mirrors. Since they are made of glass, they can break, which will require you to replace the whole assembly.
