Gaios the capital of Paxos is a charming port town and spreads itself along the waterfront. The natural port of Gaios, created by the islet St.Nicholas, resembles a fjord. The village is named in honor of one of the disciples of Apostle Paul - Saint Gaius, who brought Christianity to the island.
