Favorite theme park dads

Here's a list of our favorite theme park dads

1

Shrek-Shrek 4D Universal Studios Florida

Shrek-Shrek 4D Universal Studios Florida

Shrek may not have been a dad in his Universal attraction, but he still counts. He rescues the damsel, learns a lot about friends and is (despite being an ogre) a great dad.

Homer Simpson-The Simpsons Ride Universal Theme Parks

Homer Simpson-The Simpsons Ride Universal Theme Parks

He's silly, he's sloppy...he's an all around kind of dummy, but really the antics he causes, he's always trying to look out for his family. He represents the dad that we all are at times. While we may not be the best at what we do, we (like Homer) try our hardest. While it all kind of comes out wrong, we are still doing the best we know how to.

Darth Vader-Star Tours at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Darth Vader-Star Tours at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Sure, he's not the best dad in the world...or the universe. I mean, what kind of dad slices off his own son's hand? And who tries to destroy the planet that their daughter lives on? I mean, granted he didn't know it was his daughter at the time, but still. Vader is one cool cat. He's the toughest force in the galaxy, he knows what he wants, knows how to get it, has a red lightsaber, and is just one bad dude. Of course I'd rather him be someone else's dad in the neighborhood than mine, but he is still one of our favorites.

Dreamfinder-Former host Journey to Imagination

Dreamfinder-Former host Journey to Imagination

Dreamfinder is technically not a dad, however he's a father to all of us from the 80's EPCOT era. He is father-like in the way that he taught us all to use our imaginations. And if you want to get technical, he's kind of the father of Figment. Who else but a dad would teach us the wonders of imagination, and the world? How many times have you and your dad pretended to be super heroes, or astronauts. How often did a broomstick or a mop handle become a sword? It's all imagination, and it's all Dreamfinder, the father of our imaginations.

Gru-Despicable Me:Minion Mayhem at Universal Studios

Gru-Despicable Me:Minion Mayhem at Universal Studios

Gru is a tough, ruthless villain. However, the whole premise of Minion Mayhem is for a surprise party for his girls. Gru is the dad that we all strive to be. We may not be pretty on the outside, and we all may have that little problem of wanting to steal the moon, but when it comes down to it, our kids are the most important thing to us in the world. Despite himself, Gru is a great dad.

Walt Disney-Disney theme parks

Walt Disney-Disney theme parks

Walt Disney himself was a father. His girls were the reason he created Disneyland in the first place, as well as brought Mary Poppins to life on the big screen. Walt was the father of Mickey Mouse, and many other characters that we know and love today.
