Iker Casillas Fernández (born 20 May 1981) is a Spanish football goalkeeper who plays for and captains both La Liga club Real Madrid and the Spanish national team. In 2008 he was the captain of the Spanish team that won their first European Championship in 44 years, the Spanish team that went on to win Spain's first World Cup (a tournament in which he won the Golden Glove) and the 2012 European Championship.
He is considered to be one of the finest goalkeepers of his generation.
Gianluigi "Gigi" Buffon (born 28 January 1978 in Carrara, Italy), is an Italian goalkeeper who plays for and captains both Serie A club Juventus and the Italian National Team. Buffon is the record appearance holder for the Italian national football team, with a total of 140 caps, and he is widely considered to be one of the greatest goalkeepers of all time. He is known for his "outstanding shot-stopping" and for being "a vocal organizer of the defence and a key dressing room personality."
Buffon was declared by Pelé to be one of the 125 greatest living footballers in the world. He has been named the Serie A Goalkeeper of the Year a record eight times and was the winner of the 2006 Yashin Award following Italy's World Cup victory, in which Buffon was also elected to be part of the Team of the Tournament; an honour which he also received after reaching the final of the 2012 European Championships.
Petr Čech (born 20 May 1982) is a Czech footballer, who plays for Premier League club Chelsea and the Czech Republic national team as a goalkeeper. He is the second most capped player in the history of the Czech national team with 107 caps, and represented the country at the 2006 World Cup, as well as the 2004, 2008 and 2012 European Championships. He was voted into the Euro 2004 all-star team after helping the Czechs reach the semi-finals. Čech also received the individual award of Best Goalkeeper in the 2004–05, 2006–07 and 2007–08 seasons of the UEFA Champions League. In addition, he was named in the FIFPro and UEFA Champions League teams of the season in 2006. He is considered to be one of the best and most respected goalkeepers of his generation.
Manuel Peter Neuer (born 27 March 1986) is a German footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Bayern Munich and the German national football team. He is known for his reflexes, excellent shot stopping abilities and distribution of the ball. Neuer played a vital role for the German Under-21 team in winning the European crown in 2009. He displays great reflexes, is fearless and likes to speed up the game with quick goal kicks. His performances have sparked the interest of clubs such as Bayern Munich and Manchester United.

He last played for FC Barcelona in La Liga, and is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in Barcelona's history, having appeared in more than 500 official games for his club and won 21 major titles, notably six La Liga and three UEFA Champions League championships. Valdés also has won the Zamora Trophy a record five times. He currently holds the club records as goalkeeper with most appearances in the league and in official competition, breaking Andoni Zubizarreta's records during the 2011–12 season.
Hugo Lloris (born 26 December 1986) is a French footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for English club Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League and is the captain of the France national team. Lloris is described as a goalkeeper who "boasts lightning reflexes and good decision-making" and is "a formidable opponent in one-on-one situations". Lloris also "commands his box well". He is a three-time winner of the National Union of Professional Footballers (UNFP) Ligue 1 Goalkeeper of the Year award.
Júlio César Soares de Espíndola (born 3 September 1979) is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for MLS club Toronto FC. He also represents the Brazilian national team, having won 80 international caps, and appeared at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
He spent seven years at Italian club Internazionale, where he won five Scudetti, the 2009–10 UEFA Champions League and the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup. Charles Joseph John "Joe" Hart (born 19 April 1987) is an English professional footballer who plays for Manchester City and the England national team as a goalkeeper.
Hart was nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year in 2010 but lost out to eventual new team-mate at Manchester City, James Milner but was voted as the Premier League goalkeeper of the 2009–10 season in recognition of his performances at Birmingham City.
