8 Dumb Stunts To Not Attempt In Your Used Car

Even though these stunts seem so cool when you watch videos of them, and I could watch these videos all day long, they probably aren’t the best way to break in your used car. People are constantly attempting crazy stunts, from Utah all the way to Saudi Arabia and everywhere in between. Even if the motto is YOLO, it’s probably better to just stick to taking your car five over the speed limit and making sure to use your blinker.

Hot Rod

Hot Rod

Hi, I’m Rod and I like to party…Unless you’re a complete idiot like Rod, you can probably find a much better use for your used cars than setting up some crappy ramps and attempting to jump it on your bike, failing miserably and making a fool of yourself. But if not, just make sure you’re helmet is securely fastened.

Italian Job

Italian Job

However cool it is to take your Mini Cooper through the subway station while stealing millions of dollars in gold and fleeing from the bad guy, you probably won’t be able to do that in Utah. So I suggest that you find a better use for your used Mini, like driving to and from work like a normal person, or like Charlize Theron, whichever you prefer.

Change Tire While Driving

Change Tire While Driving

I shouldn’t even have to say this, but seriously, don’t attempt to change your tire while you’re driving. Apparently it’s all the craze in Saudi Arabia, and I can’t seem to stop watching the videos of it even though it scares the crap out of me. If your car needs new tires that badly, they have these things called jacks where your car can stay on the ground and not drive on two wheels while people tighten your lug nuts.

Don’t Do It For The Vine

Don’t Do It For The Vine

When doing it for the Vine goes wrong. Attempting to jump your friend’s used car just for the video footage and potential social media fame is probably not a good idea unless you have seriously mad hops, and even then it’s still probably not a good idea. I strongly suggest to not do it for the Vine. In fact, I suggest you don’t do it at all unless you want to be in the hospital with two broken legs.

Footloose

Playing chicken with a semi-truck while standing on the windows of two cars probably only sounds adventurous and enticing to you if you’re a real thrill seeker. I think I’ll find a better use for my old school used GMC truck.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith

Mr. and Mrs. Smith

Stealing your neighbor’s van and using it to lean out of the sliding door and shoot the people chasing you is not something that would probably go over all too well. A used van can be used for much more than car chases, like taking your children and all of their screaming friends to the park so you can have a few moments to yourself. I don’t know though, maybe you enjoy the thrill of racing a Mini Van and being shot at.

Ghost Ride The Whip

Ghost Ride The Whip

I think all of us were dumb enough to try this out in high school when we first got our used cars. I mean, what sounds like a smarter idea and better way to pass your Friday night and show off your new set of wheels than getting hyphy to some gangsta rap and dancing around your car while it’s in motion? A lot, actually. I can think of a lot of better ways to show off your car rather than playing real life Frogger with yourself.

Tokyo Drift

I hope your used car has some new brakes if you’re going to be whipping around parking garage corners and yanking the emergency brake like crazy. Thankfully for the rest of us, there aren’t many multi-level parking garages in Utah for you to race down with your friends.
