There are a ton of sites out there that share WordPress stuff. A few of them share WordPress news as well. And even less, create new content rather than sharing other posts elsewhere. Here are four that I keep my eyes on.

Post Status is a place to get the most interesting content available in the community in a very short amount of time. The site consists of a blend of original content and links to other sources with a bit of editorial context.
Current WordPress News & WP daily Archives. The Torque News Core is a group of WordPress experts that are part of the WordPress community.
This is what you could call straight from the horses mouth. Primarily news on updates and other major stuff around WordPress core, it's a good one to keep track of.
WordPress Tavern is a site focused on all things WordPress. We also cover BuddyPress, bbPress, and any project under the Automattic umbrella. WordPress Tavern is a warm and inviting community where those interested in the software can hang out with fellow WordPressers to engage in enlightening discussions.
