Edmodo is one of the promising web technologies that is making a strong foothold in the field of education. It has been embraced by several school districts and is being widely used to host online classes and connect students with their teachers. I personally see edmodo as a very robust alternative to the traditional Moodle.

Edmodo is a free virtual learning environment where students get to learn collaboratively. The good thing about this learning platform is that students can create their own Edmodo without providing any emails, signing up is really easy and can be done in few clicks. Using Edmodo teachers can create groups or classes for their students.

Edmodo is a social networking website that has a huge potential in education. Thousands of teachers and educators have already started using it with their students and I personally believe that more and more educators will flock to it.
